Effects of spatial resolution on quantification of the landscape metrics
Abstract
This paper presents a case study involving the influence of resolution of the Fractal Dimension (D) of riparian landscapes. Four fractals methods were selected to analyze such influence. To compare the influence of resolution on D, statistical inference we used. The results showed that the resolution altered the fractal estimate of riparian landscapes, i. e. the fractal indices are sensitive to the resolution change. Key words: Fractal Dimension; Resolution; Metrics; Riparian Landscapes.Downloads
