Comparative analysis of the LANDSAT/TM 5 and SPOT HRV

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to realize a comparative analysis of multispectral classification built from the SPOT/HRV and LANDSAT/TM systems. The MAXVER classification results was analyzed visually and by quantitative methods, such as area calculate, errors and exactness values extracted from the contingency matrix and through Kappa index. The results indicated the importance of TM5 in separate vegetation class cover Key words: Landsat; SPOT; Classification; Comparison; Accuracy; Vegetation Cover.
