Production of space in the Basin of Medium Ivinhema
Abstract
This text analyses the occupation and settlement process of Bacia do Médio Ivinhema region, in the south of Mato Grosso do Sul, as a constituent part in the recent regional development. They are part of the approach: the first economic activities, the introduction of the project for federal settlement, the insertion of the binomial soy-wheat and its later transition to the binomial soy-corn, the installation of the agro-industries and the land structure. From a recent occupation, t is predominated in the area the determinants of the industrial capital insertion through the marketing of grains and the agro-industry of pork and poultry culture, that reflects in the urban society in the way of a network business and for those who render services to that productive complex. The relationship country-town as expressions of the regional produced space, incorporates outside determination called externals (insertion in the external market) and inside determination called internal (urbanization and strengthening of Dourados city as a regional pole).
