Abstract

The concept of systems has being building in different areas of scientific knowledgement without thus characterized. Reality ideas and shape interpretations were appearing wich considered the same rules, however, in independent ways. Due to the publication of “General theory of systems” by Ludwig Von Bertalanffy, the concept of system was determined. This concept was applied in several areas; its influence in geography is noticed by geossystem concept and theoretical-methodologies in the integrated studies of the environment. However, other areas of knowledgement moved on to develop techniques and interpretation methods of physical reality, using the same rules of the systemic theory, despite of ignore it. This is about methods of natural vulnerability of groundwater, wich consider completely the pertinent facts that form the hidrogeologic system to establish the vulnerability classes. This article aims to demonstrate the influence of the systemic approach in natural vulnerability of groundwater study in the Pereira Barreto/SP city; that suffered an elevation in table water due to installation of Três Irmãos hydroelectric power plant. This work used the methodology GOD proposed by Foster & Hirata(1993), getting mainly moderate classes of vulnerability and high classes related to drainage nets. Key words: systemic approach; groundwater; vulnerability.
