Familiar agriculture and agricultural specialization: ways and noways for the sustainable rural development in the south/south-west of Minas Gerais
Abstract
This article discusses the productives logics of familiar explorations in the South/South-West of Minas Gerais, identifying some problems and advantages for construction of the sustainabitily sociospacial. The differentiated trainings of the agriculturists guided us to adopt Chayanov, Kautsky and Lamarche’s theories. The conventional familiar explorations have substituted the polyculture for products dictated by the logic of the market, with its consequent subordination to the channels of agro-industrial production or commercialization. On the other hand, the organic familiar explorations helped to improve the quality of life and to transmit cultural patrimony from these regions, besides influencing the neighborhood relations. Despite familiar explorations are linked to commercialization cooperatives, they are nearest to the sustainability rural. The results show that familiar company, which is studied in this paper, is not synonymous of small production or peasant agriculture. Although, it’s important to say that the familiar agriculturists from this region differ, substantially, from the other parts of the state, mainly of those of the Zona da Mata, Jequitinhonha and North of Minas Gerais. Key Words: Familiar Company. Agro-industrial Subordination. Sociospacial Local Sustainability. South/South-West of Minas Gerais.Downloads
