ANÁLISE ECONOMÉTRICA DA PRODUÇÃO CANAVIEIRA PAULISTA
Abstract
Brazil has been achieving an autstanding position in the sugar production, important for lhe nation 's econorny, which contributes for the earning of exchange value from the export 01 that product. The sugar-cane agricultural productivity has been considered low in relation 10 other producing countries. The State of São Paulo has been the main producer for the last decades and is the object of this analysis.
The present work deais with the identification and evaluation of the main factors affectirs the productivity levei, mainly the ones which provoke marked and sudden supply fluctuations observed annually, in the temporal series, from 1959/60 to 1973/74. The main concentratíã areas of the State of São Paulo, named nuclei, Jaú, Ribeirão Preto and Piracicaba, have been considered as the spatial support.
