It is intended to discuss the interactions between the body and the contemporary city based on Jürgen Habermas’s philosophy, through an intersubjective and, at the same time, communicative construction. The literature review on body and city was grouped by means of geographical speeches in four thematic axis: urban mobility, the exclusion/inclusion, besides the ones of identities and practices. The common and different perspectives served as a basis for the interpretations of the interactions between body and city through Jurgen Habermas’s thinking. Therefore, the mediation of language, of dramaturgical action, of the paradox of the identity of the Self are promising on a geographic-intersubjective way of understanding the relationship between body and city.
