COMMERCIAL AND SERVICE ACTIVITIES AND INTRAURBAN CENTRALITY IN CHAPECÓ – SC

Abstract

The location of commercial and service activities in the city of Chapecó – SC is the central theme of this article. Therefore, we used as methodological procedures the construction of a database from the Classificação Nacional de Endereços Statísticos (CNEFE) and the Classificação Nacional de Atividades Econômicas (CNAE). CNEFE and CNAE made it possible to produce cartographic representations that supported our analysis of the center and intra-urban centrality in Chapecó – SC. In view of the results obtained with these methodological procedures, we can observe the presence of a large concentration of commercial and service establishments in the main center. However, new areas also showed concentrations, forming subcenters, although with a lower density level.

Possui licenciatura e bacharelado em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP - Câmpus de Presidente Prudente. Atualmente cursa mestrado em Geografia pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Geografia da mesma universidade na qual realizou a graduação. Pesquisa na área de Geografia Humana com destaque para Geografia Urbana. É membro do Grupo de Pesquisa "Produção do Espaço e Redefinições Regionais" - GAsPERR.
