Region as focus of Cultural Identity

Abstract

The present work has as fundamental concern to the reflection on the region concept, in the perspective of the Humanistic and Cultural Geography. It is known that the concepts can cross the times as unalterable words, but your content is always subject to changes or being remodeled impeding the fossilization of the same ones and, consequently, always moving away the danger present, of mistake in the interpretation of the real. In this context, the region starts to have new interpretation and importance being seen as a group of perceptions, values, decisions and collective behaviors.
