The historical dynamics of the latifundium space in the Rio Grande do Sul and its manifestation in the geographic microregion of campaign Central/RS/Brasil
Abstract
The process of formation of the large state in the Rio Grande do Sul directly is related to the historical antecedents of occupation and the settlement of the space gaucho, that had always collaborated with the concentration of the land. In this manner, the present research has as central concern to analyze the historical process of formation and the space manifestation of the large state, being had as locus of study the Geographic Microregion of the Central Campaign, that understands the cities of Rosário do Sul, Santa Margarida do Sul, Santana do Livramento and São Gabriel. Metodologicamente, the work was divided in the following phases: work of field, bibliographical revision, collects of data in on agencies the thematic one in study (IBGE and FEE) e, finally the research was directed for the analysis and interpretation of the information collects. Finally, it is observed that the latifundium spaces are part of history gaucho, as half of space and economic appropriation. However, in virtue of the current socioeconômicas transformations, they leave to represent only the cattle monopoly of the extensive one. The large state starts to yield space for new forms of economic appropriation, through the leases to the enterprise farming of the rice and the soy and, more recently to the forestation (pinus and eucaliptos), that it guarantees the concentration of the land in the Geographic Microregion of the Central Campaign.
