Milton Santos: geographer and citizen of the world
Abstract
The text concerns to the life and academic production of Milton Santos, with prominence for that focusing the black’s problem and African subjects. It begins with Milton Santos rootses from Bahia and its influence in the accomplishment of regional studies. It proceeds, highlighting the importance of the exile that Prof. Santos was submitted to, giving him the opportunity of experiences in diversified contexts and empiric estrangement of Brazil, that lead him to develop the theoretical concerns that marked not only his production, but expressive part of the Brazilian geographical production, theme of the third part of the text.
