Study of the Rainfall in the Salt Region in the State of the Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

Rainfall regime in the salt region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the period of 01/01/88 to 31/12/90, was studied. Daily rainfall diagrams of two meteorological stations and meteorological surface charts were used. The purpose of the work was to know the influence of the rainfall due to topography, local wind circulation and the synoptic systems that affect the area.
