Urban planning and job market
Abstract
The models of urban planning focuses on conservative liberalism defend that the increase of the competitiveness of the cities contributes for the economic growth and the increase of jobs. The objective of this work is to prove if the adoption of these principles in the public administration of the city of São Paulo, during years 90, contributed effectively for the increase of the job level. The changes of the level of job of three important business-oriented areas of the city had been analyzed: downtown, the Paulista area and the Berrini area. The Berrini area received special attention in this work due to the high investments accomplished there, in the analyzed period. Key words: Urban planning; job market; city of São Paulo.Downloads
