A dive in a relations sea: social nets as change agents in popular quarters
Abstract
The article argues the social nets and agents role in the urban space production and it’s impact on the social-space procedures in three popular urbanization quarters of Salvador, Bahia. It points to the deconstruction of the classic center/periphery dichotomy and gives priority to the quarter as a special indenture for the contemporaneous urban geography studies. From the inquired data and information of popular quarters, the search looks for to built new approach methodologies of the low rent population “lived spaces” in order to underlie effective politics of participant planning in Salvador context, understanding the “quarters” as spaces of sociability and areas of priority in intervention.
