The eco-turism in Brotas-SP: public and private action in the production of the tourist locality
Abstract
The eco-turism in Brotas-SP: public and private action in the Brotas’s city placed at the state of São Paulo, stands out as one of the main countryside eco-tourism destinies in Brazil. Since the 90´s of the last century, the city observes the tourism as a new alternative of economical development, where local landscapes resources are explored such as rivers and waterfalls. Such the public as the private agents role perform a new image which have stood out, especially guided for the consumption, and transformed the city into a touristy place. The actions of the publicity on promoting tourist activities modifies daily the city, and parallel this renewal of infrastructures, a new social imaginary identity have been generated.
