Report on the IV Internal Conference of Evaluation of the Graduate Program in Mathematics Education

Abstract

This article discusses the internal evaluation process of the Graduate Program in Mathematics Education of the IGCE, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro campus. A report is presented on the evaluation of the year 2004, in which professors and students participated. The themes discussed included: the tri-annual evaluation conducted by CAPES; the thematic seminars that occurred during the year; the process of selection and evaluation of students. It was a very productive debate that raised ideas for improving the activities being carried out in the program and suggestions for new actions. The Program Council assumed responsibility for following up on some of the ideas proposed. Key-words: Mathematics Education. Internal evaluation. Graduate program.
