After great success in Brazil, Monteiro Lobato expanded his projections by publishing several translations of his works in Argentina, which were later also disseminated in other Latin American countries. The literary success outside his country helped the author to aim for the production of unpublished texts in Spanish and, among his intentions, in 1947 the children's work La nueva Argentina was published by Editoral Acteon under the pseudonym of Miguel P. Garcia, which had a circulation of 3,000 printed copies. The story, which did not have the participation of the famous characters of Sítio do Pica-pau Amarelo, was carried out by don Justo and his sons Pancho and Pablo Saavedra and presented as a central theme reflections on the Five Year Plan implemented in Argentina by General Juan Domingo Perón. Faced with this theme, the work presented here aims to analyze La Nueva Argentina, highlighting the main ideas of Peronism that Lobato contemplated in his writing. The study was produced from a qualitative approach and was carried out through bibliographic and documentary research. As a result, it is possible to indicate that in La nueva Argentina Lobato made important notes on how the social, economic, educational, cultural, public health, diplomacy, national defense, public works and transport aspects could be thought of from the precepts of the political movement in order to promote actions aimed at social justice among the population of the country.
