Territory and poverty in Salvador – BA

Abstract

This paper analyses the construction of the popular territory in Salvador and its influency done by the industry and territorial and urban formation. He firts moment of that paper talks about the relationship between industries and urbanism in Salvador, in the record this paper focuses the geography and sociology of the territory and social identity. Is the third and last place it focuses the three referencies of the popular constitution of Salvador that are localized in big areas in Salvador train suburb and urban “miolo”: (I)Neighbour “Plataforma” because of its cultura and historic wealth; (II) “Aglomerado de Novos Alagados” poverty over “Baía de Todos os Santos” a photo of the crudelity of population; (III) “Complexo de Cajazeiras” a rough area of Salvador, different and broken.
