The pluriactivity as an alternative action to periurban extrativist family from the county of Ilhéus, Bahia State

Abstract

The objective of this work is to consider alternative plutiactivities for the periurban families who depend on the extrativism of mangroves resourses in Ilhéus. It was observed the urban evolution of the city, and the problematic situation of this settlement, and the external elements of “natural” origin that affect the activity of this established space, specially concerning the prohibited period for catching. In the actual moment, perhaps, should be a great opportunity to the count of Ilhéus implement effective pluriactivities concerning extrativism. This new focus in the economy of Ilhéus, which is underpined in the services of the tourist segment, can be favored by pluriactivities linked to mangroves, stimulating the gastronomy based on seafood, on the production and the commerce of handcraft, and the environmental education in the community, directly to the mangroves. Possui Graduação (Licenciatura) em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (2004), Especialização em Modelagem em Ciências da Terra e do Ambiente pela Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (2008) e Mestrado em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (2008). Atualmente é doutorando em Geociências e Meio Ambiente pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", Bolsista ANP/PRH-05.
