Development of urban guides prototypes for Presidente Prudente - SP

Abstract

This paper reports the process of development of three Urban Guides prototypes for a test area at Presidente Prudente - SP using resources of Cartography, Digital Photogrammetry and Geographical Information System (GIS). Initially, it was carried out the data modeling, acquisition, conversion and the updating of spatial and non spatial data. Two cartographic bases were used and a field work was carried out in order to update the non spatial information. Afterwards the software Microsoft Access was used for the edition of non spatial, the software AutoCAD to process the spatial data and the Geoprocessing software ArcView to accomplish the integration of spatial and non spatial data and to produce the Analytical Urban Guide. The last task was the developed of the Electronic Urban Guide for the test area is available at http://www.multimidia.prudente.unesp.br/guiaprudente. An analogue version of the Urban Guide was also produced at the scale of 1:2.000. Key words: analytical urban guide, electronic urban guide, analogue urban guide.
