Infant mortality and social exclusion in Presidente Prudente-SP- 2000 At 2002

Abstract

The deaths of occurred less than a year from 01/01/2000 to 12/30/2002 through the Deaths Certificate and Alive Certificate have been studied. The objective of this research is to evidence areas of bigger mortality, verifying if these localities are excluded socially by the through the confection of a thematic map. In the elaboration of the thematic map were used software Map Infoâ. The map made in this study evidences a trend of the MI to the locate in the periphery of the city. The comparison of the map produced with the one of social exclusion/inclusion of Presidente Prudente shows important relation enters the places of bigger occurrence of deaths and the areas of social exclusion.
