ENVIRONMENTAL RECOVERY THROUGH ECONOMIC VALUATION TECHNIQUES IN AREA OF ILLEGAL OCCUPATION

Abstract

The object of the considered study is about an area next to the River Passo Fundo, in the city of Passo Fundo, occupied irregularally with housings of precarious character, in risk place and subjects flooding. In this work, after the characterization of the area study object, was applied the Method of the Contingent Evaluation, through the technique of Disposition to Pay (DAP), for economic valuation of possible town planning and ambient interventions in the same one. Were applied questionnaires in residents' three groups of the I spill of the occupied area, approaching cultural, partner-economic, urban aspects and the existing ambient impacts had been applied, aiming at to evaluate its disposal to pay for the qualification of the same one. The results of this evaluation will allow guiding future public politics of urban management. The gotten results had demonstrated the viability of the application of the Method of the Contingent Evaluation, considering different ambient restriction, as for the economic valuation of ambient liabilities.
