GIS for integration physical and socioeconomic variables to implementation agroecologic projects in Piracicaba, Capivari and Jundiaí (SP) rivers basin
Abstract
This paper presents one methodology for integration of physical and socioeconomic variables for selection of priorities sub-watersheds to implementation agroecologic projects in Piracicaba, Capivari and Jundiaí (SP) rivers basin. Considering the environmental modeling, implemented in a Geographical Information System (Spring), the methodology incorporates the identification of sub-watersheds with high natural vulnerability of occorrence of erosive processes and, concomitantly, that they are located in municipalities with low human development index. The idea was to incorporate the necessity of soil conservation and recovery of ecosystems and the duty of development agricultural communities. The outcomes demonstrates that some sub-watersheds have these conditions, what theoretically, defining them as priorities areas for implementation of these projects in the study area.Downloads
