CLASSIFICATION OF SOILS IN SERRA OF THE JAPI

Abstract

The Serra of the Japi is located in the State of São Paulo (Brazilian southeastern geographic region) and was evaluated in relation to the pedologics units discovered in the area. Based on the pedologics analysis it was observed that occurs variability of the soils classes in the area and it follows that presence soil horizonts with of alluviums and colluviums deposits, its were arranged along of some profiles, .it’s shows that fluvial processes are more special acting than neotectonic events, it had a strong influence in the origin of the palaeoenvironment and it had influence in the degree of rock weathering and/or origin material, relief evolution, sedimentary new deposits distribution and in relationship among morphogenesis and pedogenesis, its carry out the final type of soil and vegetation cover.
