Buildings are subject to vibrations caused by the environment, such as those from industry, earthquakes, works in general, etc. The construction of nearby buildings such as railway lines is becoming increasingly common in large and small cities around the world. The present work shows an analytical analysis of the propagations of vibrations in the soil, caused by the passage of trains, which reach as buildings, people or nearby improvements. One of the justifications is structural safety and a better understanding of physical and geotechnical parameters of the soils of the regions near the railway lines. Several soil geotechnical parameters are verified in order to evaluate their influence and sensitivity in the propagation of speed and acceleration of instantaneous vibration in the soils induced by trains. Other parameters are also analyzed, such as rail line distance, train speed and load. When the peak propagation curve of vibration intensity along the distance the railway line is drawn, it is possible to notice a distinct pattern of behavior between vertical and horizontal vibrations as well as a difference in sensitivity between displacements, speeds and vibration accelerations to increased train speed.
