Today, malnutrition still remains the single most important factor impairing health and productivity of large human populations, mainly in the developing countries. For this reason, the exploration of alternative treatments, in addition to nutritional recovery, became a matter of generalized interest, and this includes the employment of physical exercise. The present study aimed to review: a) the main topics related to malnutrition effects on organism as well as nutritional recovery through dietary procedures associated to physical exercise and b) Muscle protein metabolism of rats recovering from protein malnutrition. To reach the objective of the present study, a bibliographic review process was applied and scientific papers published by our work group and by other groups in this area, were used.Downloads
