The present study assemble and develop subsidies about health conceptions and health promotion of State Public Scholar Physical Education Teachers from Sao Paulo City. It has the conceptual historical evolution scene of the motif built in the last decades. We collected a quantitative and qualitative analysis of documents (guides and curriculum proposals) searching understand the establish relations between Scholar Physical Education and Health. In parallel we adopt an empiric survey next to the Junior School Physical Education Teachers. The curriculum proposals of Sao Paulo Public Education shows advances in the comprehension of the historical relation established between Physical Education and Health, nevertheless the practices and concepts assumed by the teachers seems to disregard some dimensions and possibilities in the process, save those attached a “practice make” through the physical activity. The attributed value to the medical-biological acquaintances, shows a partial comprehension of the teachers with regard to the health promotion process. The teachers shows not have the concepts that define the best way to trigger health promotion, however most educators believe to act in this process, recognize your value, admit yours difficulty, limitations and impossibilities. Develop your job giving priority to the theme and walk firm in the convict militancy of the physic aptness development and of the health, through Scholar Physical Education weekly sessions. The social wounds faced for the schools and the lack of efficient public politics, makes limited the actions and conceptions of teachers. Although the curriculum proposals been advanced in the last decades, in the sense of a more wide health and health promotion, a lot of teachers remain with a naïve vision of the real possibilities and capacities for act how health promoters in the scholar environment.Downloads
