I believe that is indispensable we recover our history's events, not only raising names and dates, but also raising new interpretations, analysing new contexts, refusing the exclusive consideration of the social-economic comprehension and considering the intrinsic apprehension of the phenomenon. One of the mora interesting events in our recent history was the students' strike of the Sports and Physical Education National College (SPENC) in 1956. I believe that the analyse of this movement can to bring us new elements and indicatives to contribute to amplify and to think the Physical Education structures in the epoch. So, this study has for purpose to analyses this important event, preferencelly the considerations about the the context of the SPENC, because I think that these considerations are primordials and better explain the possible meanings to the student's movement in Physical Education, to the profession and to SPENC. I conclude that the strike is important in the organization of the students' movement and has had strong meaning like a way of afirmation of the Physical Education tezchers.Downloads
