Abstract

The current job market for building technicians seeks a professional with knowledge and skills related to construction processes, enabling them to ensure the health and safety of workers, as well as encouraging the understanding and application of technical standards and skills relevant to the sustainability of the production process. In this sense, it is essential to promote innovative pedagogical practices that promote holistic training. The present study aimed to analyze the concepts of professional training and pedagogical practices in the curriculum of the technical course in buildings offered by the IFBA. This research is characterized as a qualitative study, of a documentary nature, with a case study. Data collection analyzed 8 campi through primary and secondary data. The results show that the themes and practices analyzed are still a fragmented process under construction and that, when they arise, they are incorporated in a way that is detached from the set of technical disciplines and, in some situations, far from the technological axis of the course.
